I’m fluent in both Italian and English, so we can speak English or Italian, or a mix of both.
Which Language do you do therapy in?
Do you offer online therapy or in-person therapy?
I offer both: we can choose to meet online or in my Studio in Via Francesco Soave 24, Milan.
With some clients we choose a “hybrid” model, meeting some weeks in person, other weeks online.
For couples online sessions you can be together and take the call from the same device, or from two different locations.
Generally I prefer to meet people in-person so as to reduce “screen-fatigue” and to allow for more information to flow through non-verbal communication.
Can we meet first before I decide if I want to start therapy?
Absolutely. You can book an initial introductory session (consult fees here) where we can discuss your needs and I can answer any questions you may have about therapy. Then you can take the time to decide if you’d like to start therapy or not.
Do you prescribe medication?
No, as a psychologist/psychotherapist licensed in Italy I do not prescribe medication.
If you are living in Italy are are in need of medication, you will need to reach out to your Medico di Base or contact a Licensed Psychiatrist.
I think we need couples counselling but my partner doesn’t want to go. What should I do?
It is very common for one partner to resist the idea of couples counselling, and it’s important to respect their stance. You can become curious about why your partner is not willing to go to therapy - try to open up a dialogue on this issue.
You can also suggest starting off with the assessment phase, which does not imply committing to ongoing therapy. In this phase I can help pinpoint where you are getting stuck and give an overview of therapy can help you and your relationship.
If you choose to book an initial session, make sure to involve your partner in the choice of therapist.
Finally, you can look into taking part in one of my workshops with your partner - mental and emotional wellbeing workshops are a great way to get to know the professional and get a feel for how they approach relational and emotional issues.
Will what I share really be confidential?
Absolutely. Before starting therapy I will give you a signed document which incorporates a confidentiality agreement.
I am ethically and legally bound to confidentiality as per the Ethics Code of the Italian Board of Psychologists. This means that everything you share with me is completely confidential except in the case of 1) immediate threat of harm to self or others, 2) suspicion of abuse of child or dependent elder 3) in case of a court subpoena.
If you have any doubts or questions about confidentiality before or during therapy, I’ll be happy to discuss the matter further.
I’d like to improve my mental health but I don’t want to start therapy…
That’s absolutely fine - we can all aim to nurture our mental health, the same as we work on maintaining our physical health.
You can find a lot of material online to learn more about the various aspects of mental wellbeing.
There are also workshops you can join where professionals can guide you through experiential learning about mental, relational and emotional health.
You might want to join one of my Mental Wellbeing Workshops or follow me on Social Media for more material on improving your mental health.

If you (or your partner if you’re looking for couples therapy) feel I’m NOT the right professional for you, that’s absolutely fine. I’ll do my best to provide you with referrals to other therapists who might be a better fit.
