English-Speaking Therapy for Individuals

Individual Therapy

I offer psychotherapy and counselling to adults from all over the world who:

  • Struggle with problematic thoughts, emotions or behavior

  • Want to understand themselves better

  • Would like to improve the quality of their relationships with others

  • Are seeking greater meaning in their lives

My Approach

I draw from different approaches to therapy that have been proven to be effective, and taylor therapy based on the needs and strengths of my clients.

The main frameworks I incorporate into my work are:

Psychodynamic & Attachment Theory: understanding the deeper, sometimes unknown or unconscious roots of thoughts, behaviors and emotions, and how these may be connected to early childhood relationships.

Sociology and Anthropology: acknowledging that the society and culture we live in affects our mental health, the way we relate to the world around us, and the freedom we have to strive for self-determination.

Existential and Humanistic Psychology: connecting with our potential for growth and finding authentic meaning in life.

Strategic Therapy: enabling change in behavior and thought-patterns by building on evidence-based tools and strategies, i.e. Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Mindfulness and Mind-Body Work: overcoming the mind-body dis-connect by drawing attention to our bodies as it relates to our emotional and mental states.

Positive Psychology: highlighting the strengths each client brings with them and leveraging these to increase well-being and life-satisfaction.

Trauma Informed Therapy: being sensitive to how trauma history impacts emotions, thoughts, physical symptoms and relationships; leveraging the human potential for post-traumatic growth.
