Wellbeing Workshops

The world of psychology and mental health is constantly gaining new knowledge that we can all benefit from.

My workshops aim to share the knowledge and experience of clinical practice and scientific research on mental wellbeing.

The goal of my workshops is to foster individual, social and environmental well-being by drawing on three key themes: mindfulness, emotional intelligence, and eco-psychology.

Mindfulness Workshops

Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention to the present moment, and has been shown to improve mental, physical and relational health.

Mindfulness workshops can help you understand why mindful attention is beneficial and how you can practice mindfulness in your day-to-day life.

Emotional intelligence workshops

Emotional Intelligence refers to the ability to understand and manage emotions.

As key as this skill is, we are rarely taught much about it. Emotional Intelligence workshops can help bridge the gap, giving you knowledge and experience to better navigate the complex world of emotions.

eco-psychology workshops

Eco-psychology workshops create opportunities to (re-)connect with nature, with a particular focus on the psychological and emotional benefits of being in contact with the “more-than-human” world.

What to Expect in the Workshops

In our workshops we will incorporate:

  • The latest scientific findings in the field of psychology

  • Practical exercises to put the theory into practice

  • Reflection on how this impacts your own mental and emotional wellbeing

  • Group discussions to share what others are thinking and experiencing

  • A “tool-box” of practices you can try out at home

The goal of the workshops is for participants to come away with:

  • Further understanding of the “inner workings” of the mind (their own and others people’s)

  • New tools to be better manage emotions, relate to others, feel connected, and remove obstacles that get in their way

  • A playful experience with others: having fun with others is a key aspect in our wellbeing!

  • An understanding of how work on our own wellbeing as individuals can have a positive impact on the wellbeing of those around us and on our environment

To achieve all this we will:

  • Have “teaching” moments where you can learn about key psychological concepts

  • Try out exercises to test the learnings first-hand

  • Bring our minds and bodies into the exercises to re-kindle the mind-body connection.

  • Interact with others and the environment around us for an interpersonal and inter-connected experience.

Honoring diversity

Diverse groups help make the experience of learning richer for all involved. These workshops aim to be inclusive of any and all backgrounds, abilities, levels of expertise, gender identities, ethnicities, orientations, religious or spiritual beliefs, and so on - with the paramount goal of ensuring a safe and welcoming space for all.
